When dealing with email attachments, very often, you have files with similar names. And you want to be abl to access these files easily.
By Default, Attachment Explorer will not try to identify files with similar names.
When you turn on Fuzzy Match (available in the Option menu), Attachment Explorer will try its best to group files with similar names. Attachment Explorer tries to identify similar names by calculating the changes required to "convert" one file name to another without considerations of case sensitivity and white spaces. For example to convert "HyBing1.doc" to "hybing2.doc" only requires 1 change.
As such, when you turn on Fuzzy Match, you can specify the threshold of number of changes. By default, the threshold is 0, and only file names are the same without considerations of case sensitivity and white spaces are considered as similar files.
In addition, fuzzy match requires the files have the same extension to be considered to be similar files.
