Joomla supports add-ons, in the form of modules and plugins. In Joomla 1.0x, plugins are named mambots.

Joomla module is a graphical element, once installed and published, the can be viewed on the website.

Joomla plugin is a text element associated with a particular content, once installed, enabled and triggered, that can be viewed on the website. Content Publisher can triggered the plugin by placing special formatted text in the article. Each plugin has its own special text to trigger the plugin.

To use the plugin, please follow the following steps:

1. Install the plugin using Joomla Installer.


2. To configure the plugin:




• Joomla 1.5x: Extension - Plugin Manager


• Joomla 1.0x: Mambots - Site Mambot




3. Select the plugin that you want to configure, such as Easy Paypal.


4. Make sure it is enabled, and setup all the parameters to meet your needs.


5. When creating an article, eg EasyPaypal, include the in the article, in plain text, to show the paypal button.
